Thoughts on The Lord's Prayer

Several years ago I attended an interfaith conference on diversity and inclusion. All the congregations of that community were represented on the panel by their clergy. During the discussion, the rabbi noted that he always resented being in classrooms where "the Christian Prayer" was recited each day. I talked with the rabbi after the discussion period and told him that he should consider just what that prayer really was — an itinerant teacher who remained a faithful Jew all his life teaching his Jewish disciples how to pray to Yahweh.
